The Governor of Ebonyi State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has congratulated Professor Benard Ifeanyichukwu Odoh, on his emergence as the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State.
Governor Nwifuru in his congratulatory message described Prof. Odoh as a distinguished son of Ebonyi State, whose remarkable achievement has given the State a huge sense of pride.
“Prof., your remarkable achievement is a source of immense pride to us all, as a distinguished son of our State. Your emergence in this prestigious position reflects not only your deep commitment to academic excellence but also your unwavering dedication to the advancement of education.” – Nwifuru noted.
In wishing him a successful reign as the VC of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, the Governor pledged the total support of the State, to enable Prof. Odoh to succeed with flying colours in his new role.
“I am confident that under your visionary leadership, Nnamdi Azikiwe University will achieve even greater heights in research, teaching, innovation and community service. It will also serve as an inspiration to the youth of our state, demonstrating that hard work, integrity, and excellence will always be rewarded.
“As you assume this new role, I pray for wisdom, strength, and good health to guide you through this exciting and challenging journey. The government of Ebonyi State pledges its support to your administration and remains committed to fostering education and development in all spheres—much as I pray that your tenure as Vice Chancellor will be marked by great achievements and lasting legacies.” – Governor Nwifuru concluded.
Professor Benard Ifeanyichukwu Odoh’s emergence records him, the 7th Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and the first Ebonyian to hold such elevated office at NAU.

This is a good one. His excellency Governor FON has been doing great since assumption of office. we Ebonyians are wishing him long life in good health and prosperity.
However, we want to remind him that some people who were offered local scholarship rejected it and since then have been waiting for his directive to replace those ones with another set of people but have not heard from him.
