H.E. Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru
In my many years in service of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the Governor of Ebonyi State, I have not known a man as evaluative as him. His level of concentration and attention to detail is unknown to commonality. In any situation, he literally makes sense where there seems to be none. In fact, he can begin a casual questioning of simple matters, and ends by producing a barrage of fruitful revelations.
Interestingly, his distinctiveness in thinking and native wisdom has never inflicted an iota of suffering on his FAITH and LOVE of GOD. For it is known, that even great philosophers in the likes of Fredrick Nietzsche saw FAITH as a refuge from confronting the harsh realities of existence and a hindrance to intellectual honesty. But for this man, the Governor, his sizzling intellect neither patronizes Nietzsche’s philosophy in this regard, nor conflicts with his spiritual path – that FAITH is not belief without proof, but a trust in GOD without reservation.
And so, his FAITH leads him. It is important that as he reflects and pays tribute to the late Holy Father, Ebonyi people should understand that they have a leader, whose faith and love for God is unquestioned. Just as he prides in the life and works of the late POPE, who incidentally is FRANCIS, he is not short in mirroring the Godly qualities in the life of the late POPE FRANCIS – humility, simplicity, compassion, love and justice.
His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has in his near two-year stint in office, exuded love for Ebonyi people, humility in service of the people, simplicity in demystifying Governance, compassion in caring for his people, love for all and justice in meeting the needs of the people, through implementation of his mantra.
He is a man who reflects deeply. He is a passionate leader who follows exemplary principles, like those of the late Pope Francis. As he leads the State in reflecting on the life of the late Supreme Pontiff, may his tracks continue to be punctuated by those qualities fittingly best for Ebonyi people and for humanity at large. His FAITH is leading him fruitfuly in serving Ebonyi people.
