In his continuous bid to ensure that Education is revamped from scratch in Ebonyi State, Governor Nwifuru has started the construction of pilot primary schools in the State.
The schools are six in number – evenly spread across the three senatorial zones of the State, 2 per zone. These will further boost the education appetite in our communities and raise the bar of quality learning. It is not just a development of structures, No. The Governor is paying attention to the quality of content as well. He has approved the training of teachers, recruitment of more teachers, and distribution of notes and textbooks to all the public schools in the State.
Find below, the prototype of the primary schools and those currently undergoing construction in Oriuzor (Ezza North), Nkwegu (Abakaliki), and Offerekpe (Izzi LGA). Others are ongoing in Afikpo, Edda, and Onicha Local Government Areas. More will go on in due course.
This is in addition to the 39 model secondary schools already ongoing across all the Local Government Areas of the State. These are the signatures of the People’s Charter of Needs mantra of the present Government.
