Primary and Secondary Schools in Ebonyi State will receive textbooks free of charge, from the Government of Ebonyi State.
The Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru disclosed this at the Government House on October 1, 2024, during his address to Ebonyi people.
“We have procured a total of two hundred thousand (200,000) textbooks for primary school students and one hundred and twenty-thousand (120,000) textbooks for secondary school students free of charge. This is to ensure quality education for our people.” – Governor Nwifuru.
The Governor equally hinted that the construction of the 39 model secondary schools and the pilot primary schools are at an advanced stage.
This is one of the Governor’s moves to entrench quality education in the basic education sector of Ebonyi State.
